About

proodee™ was founded by a high school honors physics teacher in Montgomery County, Texas, on November 11, 2012. The original business plan was to operate an online store that specialized in selling retail electronics and parts. However, the company was dismantled on June 23, 2015, due to its inability to penetrate the competitive online store marketplace. The domain proodee.com remained registered with the same owner in a dormant state for years.

On February 7, 2020, the owner decided to reinvent the name and business model by founding proodee™ again in Montgomery County, with a focus on technical work and repair of electronics and appliances. One month later, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, which slowed down the second attempt at finding a place for proodee™.

Certified Technician

Most people would probably agree that the appliance business is one that needs revamping. The old mechanical-based washer machines, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, etc. have evolved into what may very well be considered various types of robots. This may seem outlandish referring to your appliances as robots, as we may want to reflect on science fiction movies of full human-looking robots as domesticated helpers or potential tragedies–depending on what movie you happen to watch. It is worth noting, however, that one of the Webster’s dictionary definitions of a robot is a machine controlled by a computer that can move and do other things that people can do. This is where the old school of appliances has been replaced by the new computer-controlled machines that can do the same work, only much smarter and more efficiently–and more high-techy.

Today’s appliances are computers that make billions of decisions, just like your device that you are currently using to read this page. Appliance repair technicians need to understand electrical theory. Moreover, they need to have advanced skills to diagnose problems. The founder and owner of proodee is experienced and trained in electrical theory and completed advanced appliance repair training. The official badge shown below is the example model for all proodee™ technicians (now or in the future) must achieve before being allowed to repair appliances for our clients.
